We used Ask Blue J to write a response:

Yes, you may claim the child tax credit (CTC), additional child tax credit (ACTC), or credit for other dependents (ODC) as well as the child and dependent care credit, provided you meet the qualifications for each credit.

The child tax credit (CTC) allows you to reduce your tax by up to $2,000 for each qualifying child. If you cannot claim the full amount of the CTC, you may be eligible for the additional child tax credit (ACTC), which is refundable. The credit for other dependents (ODC) provides up to $500 for each qualifying dependent who does not qualify for the CTC. These credits are calculated together on the Child Tax Credit and Credit for Other Dependents Worksheet and reported on the same line of your tax return.

The child and dependent care credit is available if you paid someone to care for your child or another qualifying person so you (and your spouse, if filing jointly) could work or look for work. This credit requires you to complete and attach Form 2441, Child and Dependent Care Expenses, to your tax return. The care must be for a qualifying person, and the person providing the care cannot be your spouse, the parent of your qualifying child, or someone you can claim as a dependent.

You can claim both the child tax credit/additional child tax credit or credit for other dependents and the child and dependent care credit on your return if you qualify for each of these credits.
