To change the access code for the FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) account, follow these steps:
- Log into the FATCA Account: Access the FATCA account by logging in with your current credentials.
- Navigate to the Access Code Change Option: On the home page of your FATCA account, select the “Access Code – Change” option. This option is available under the Available Account Options.
- Enter Existing Access Code: For validation purposes, you will need to enter your existing access code in the first text box.
- Create a New Access Code: Enter the new access code ensuring it meets the specified requirements. The access code must be between eight and 20 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one of the designated special characters (~! @ # % ^ * ( ) ? , .).
- Confirm the New Access Code: Reenter the new access code in the confirmation text box to ensure it matches the new access code entered previously.
- Save Changes: Click the “change access code” button to save the changes and return to the home page. It is important to record the new access code as the previous one will no longer be valid.
